Welcome

Queenswood United Church is a friendly worshipping community sharing God’s presence in Orleans, near Ottawa. We feel the power of God through informality during worship. We find that humour, laughter and sometimes tears are an integral part of our worship. We are firmly within the liberal tradition of the United Church of Canada. Come celebrate with us, everyone is welcome

Church services are at 10:00 on Sundays, everyone is welcome to join us.

Queenswood United Church is hosting it’s 2nd annual Victorian Christmas Tea on Sunday December 11. First seating is at 1:30pm. Second seating is at 3:00pm. Seating is limited so get your tickets early. $15.00 each. For tickets call Barb at 613-837-6784 or Pat at 613-834-9559. We hope to see you there!

GROCERY CERTIFICATES

Don’t forget to get your grocery certificates! This is a terrific fundraiser for our church, as it is basically free money. There are no hidden costs. You pay $50, $100 or $500 and you get that much back – and the church gets between $20 and $80 for each $1,000 we purchase (about $200 per month). There is no easier way to make money. The certificates are available from Barb anytime she is in the church (Tuesday – Friday, 9-12:00pm, Sunday mornings and any other time you can catch her!)

We have certificates available for the following stores which have no expiry date:

Metro
Food Basics
Farmboy
Loblaws
Your Independent Grocer
No Frills
Real Canadian Superstore
Tim Hortons

The United Church of Canada’s “A New Creed” starts with the declaration that, “We are not alone….” Moderator, Jordan Cantwell, invites you to share a personal story of a time when you felt you were “not alone.” Make a video and share it on social media using #NotAlone.
